With Mother of Nature @ Kepong Botanic Garden;Forest Research Institute Malaysia

Most who live in Kepong shall be familiar with Kepong Botanic Garden which is under management of Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM). The entrance fee is RM1 per adult and there are various car parks at the external of Kepong Botanic Garden. It is differed comparing with the canopy walkway of Main Entrance of FRIM.

It was 7.30am; Sunday and there were so many people whom had finished their jogging sessions! I was somehow reluctantly to wake up in such an early morning to go for jogging. However, my mom had been nagged till woke me up.Huh...

The sudden thought of having some scenery photos had me bringing along my little baby along. Here are the abundant of photos which I captured:

The opposite of the lens are the wide forests.
The right place if you're looking for solitude.
The endless laps around the laps which attracted me to drop by capturing abundant photos.
The view is just simply breathtaking.

The breathtaking view contributed by precious and beautiful plants with the verdant green-cloaked hills
Reflection of the pine hill and small pavilion in the lake.
Going through the final stretch of the walkway.
While walking across the small bridge, few dead fish were seen.
Also, there were many people feeding fishes with their almost expire breads. Huh...

A small pathway heading to the center of the Botanic Garden in which most adults doing their exercise there.

The mist had finally gone, replacing by the bright sunshine.
 万绿丛中一点红
After session of simple exercises with mom, we headed home for breakfast.
Before leaving, we found this plant nearby the public toilet facilities.
Any one knows the name of the plant?

The Kepong Botanic Garden is definitely worth visiting and it is a wonderful spot for photography and short getaway.I shall say it's like a showcase of scenic ponds greenery backdrop, plants and flowers.

However, I think the maintenance of Botanic Garden shall be improved as rubbish could be seen along the track. The public shall be more educated of not throwing their almost expired breads into the lake and management shall be look serious into this matter.

KOSÉ Sekkisei Save the Blue Project

In this day and age, coral reefs are depleting pretty fast due to the water pollution and global warming. KOSÉ Save The Blue project is actually an initiative by KOSÉ to protect the world's fast depleting corals. KOSÉ products are made of natural resources and they place efforts in contributing back to the environment. KOSÉ Save The Blue  project has started from Japanese island of Okinawa, and now expands to Singapore and Malaysia. KOSÉ’s efforts will be directed to the corals in Pulau Tioman in Malaysia. That's great! I hadn't been to Pulau Tioman yet, hopefully I able to view coral reefs when I go there in future.

Anyone knows about the importance of coral reefs?

  • Coral reefs are natural habitat for many sea creatures.
  • They are the important source of oxygen in the ocean.
  • The most beautiful natural resources to provide you spectacular view when you have scuba diving.

KOSÉ Save The Blue project will donate a portion of sales of Sekkisei lotion towards the coral cultivation activity. Thus, each bottle of lotion purchased will expand the coral reef area by the base area of 1 Sekkisei bottle. This is a meaningful project which make me impressed with their idea. Well, a good start to protect our Mother Nature.

As a student, I am not affordable to purchase Sekkisei products from KOSÉ. Looking at the price tag, they could make me jaw-dropped. However, KOSÉ products are worth to be purchased and it's Japanese brand which is notable. According to my friend,  Sekkisei products help cleansing the facial skin and it gives snow white transulcent skin after using it. Hmm, I do think my face need some nice treatment as pimples keep popping out. It's annoying~

Under KOSÉ Save The Blue project, its Facebook page has also organized an application game. It's simple and easy! For freebies-lover like me, I enjoyed playing the game very much. Nonetheless, the prizes are attractive too. Once you achieve 50 points, you able to get 2pcs of Sekkisei Lotion mask, 3pcs of Sekkisei skin care travel kit set if obtain 125 points and Sekkisei Lotion 360ml is available to be redeemed if you obtain 200 points!

Answer questions to find out what kind of sea creature you are,
and choose your location and decorate your aquarium!
Mine is box fish, which I don't know this type of fish until I played the game =)
My aquarium =)
The available prizes to be redeemed =)
IMAG0019
And yea, I redeemed mine =)
Going to redeem my lotion mask which I chose to collect in another outlet.

The preservation effort that Japanese government consolidate in keeping their country pollution-free and conserve the ocean is amazing. I wonder if our country can do the same since our country has many islands like Tiomand Island, Sipadan Island, Redang Island, Lang Tengah beach and lots more. It's advisable to learn, adapt and practise what other countries which have showed a good example of making their countries safe and beautiful~

Moral Studies, Thesis and Exhibition

The moral studies that we studied throughout the year had made me having a great exposure on many fields.Hmm..it may leave kinda bittersweet memories for me..erm..no, my Group H.We had a bitter pill to swallow when found out that our class leader and his group members had covered the important information regarding our blackboard discussion from most of us.The only avenue we had was discussing with the lecturer and got the correct way to orchestrate our project. After all, we could realized and understood more about the despicable behavior of those people.Disappointment!!! Yet,we had no much time left to orchestrate the thesis and our exhibition.

As a leader, I knew I had the fault that I didn't approach the lecturer to get the 1st direct information as all of us were too dependent on the class leader. With unremitting efforts,my group members and I had sacrifices our time to complete the tasks( blackboard discussions, posters , thesis and the exhibition preparation.)I still remembered the organizational charts of our group : me as the leader with the assistance of secretary: wei sheng and his assistant i.e. Hui En, mun fai as the error checker, ying sherng as the presentation editor ,soon le and siew chen as the commitees too...Hmm..it was not like a piece of cake to be the leader as all of us like to chat during discussions and sometimes we were at loggerheads with the ideas or ways to complete our community service project i.e 3R Programme.

We had gone to the Islamic Centre to have an interview with Prof Madya( main interviewer was Wei Sheng) regarding his opinion about our project.I gotta took the chance to thank Hui En profusely for helping me alot when completing the thesis at the eleventh hour. The moment that Hui En, Siew Chen and I walked from hostel to the thesis shop for thesis-binding and from thesis shop to the university at night (I guessed the journey had 3km) etched in mind.I didn't ask for their accompanies although I wanted them to because the willingness should be generated by one's willingness but not by forcing it down one's throat.I felt touched when they did so.Eventually, the thesis was orchestrated, leaving our moral exhibition's preparation undone. We had only 3days to prepare for the exhibition.

Upon all's agreements, Soon Le will be the presentor of our group during the moral exhibition. The attribution from Ying Sherng was the great video and nice presentation about our community service project and I guessed all these will enhance the performance of our group. We designed our poster in a day...erm..mostly was the contribution of Mun Fai and Hui En.

The important day- Moral Exhibition and after all, everything about Moral Studies will be ended. ( 28th October 2009)

( Our poster, the costly thesis, and the innovative+ creative stuffs that created by our group)
